Beside the Shed

A Little Garden Cleanup

Roses in Raupare

A massively overgrown Rose pergola.

Vines Between a Shed and Fence

Planter Boxes in Small Gardens

Parking, Planting and Retaining

So this is from a hillside property, a big design to turn a blank hillside into a parking and car turning zone with a park-like feel on the hillside. The plan is the first picture. Youll see the retaining wall for the trailer parking area, new drive/visitor parking and backing area to drive the trailer through to the main lawn. It involved excavating the driveway and flattening the top of the hill for the new drive. Native and exotic planting follows the pathways.

A small planting job on Kennedy Road

Fence and tool shed

This job required making a lean to shed smaller and enclosed, moving a large aluminium tool shed to the position where the lean to’s removed portion was; and construct a post and rail fence reusing existing concrete posts, once holding a wire fence.

Seated Courtyard

Brief was to create a seated courtyard, showcasing their Dahlia collection, and reusing red bricks and telephone poles the client already had.
Attaching trellis to the fence for vines of Hardenbergia to grow on. I found a fancy pot on special. I was able to place it so the defect (approved by the client with a subtle crack) was facing the trellis. A seat was to face the fence with the trellis, hiding the crack

A Garden For Dogs

So this was an interesting brief ‘A Place for Dogs to Hang Out’. The idea was to screen the house from the driveway and provide dogs a safe place to hang. The paving drains into the rock covered garden.

To dog proof it I used: ‘Thuga ‘Smaragd’ and Prostrate Rosemary and large rocks so the dogs couldn’t eat them. I added the stained pine wooden fence and the courtyard is inside an existing metal fence and gate.

Weeding and Clearing

Before and after of Weeding and Clearing

Some Hedges I Look After

These are hedges I looked after for a number of years.

The Wildly Overgrown Chester Street Job

This is a huge section clean up, the owner had moved part time to a beach dwelling and had left the garden for 2 years. Growth literally up to the top of the fence, all over the drive – my height in weeds, grass, Ivy. We took two weekends, the homeowner and I, to clean it up. The clean-up was in advance of the house being sold.

Buffalo Grass and Ivy Removal

A simple, but arduous, job of removing the Ivy and Buffalo grass from these fences and yard. Both fences were covered, and the client was pleased once it was all removed.

Ivy Clean Up

The fence was covered in ivy and I removed it all.

Just Some Rural Weeding

Section Maintenance in Hastings

Another wildly overgrown and neglected section which I managed to reign into some semblance of order.

Another Section Maintenance Job in Hastings

Just a Day Getting This Hastings Garden In Order

A Huge Section Tidy For House Sale

This Taradale section was a multi-generational home and with everyone’s busy lives the section had become messy and overgrown. Fortunately, I was able to tame it into submission!
